How do I help my friend to not be so cynical?

My friend and her mom are so freaking cynical. They seem to think everyone thinks they're s3xy and that every man wants to r4pe them. For example, my neighbors are getting their driveway redone. The guys who are working on it are kinda young, and their pants sag. My friend thought their sagging pants were creepy and that they were staring at us because they "want" us. We went into my house and since my parents weren't home at the time she demanded we lock all the doors. So I did, just to humor her. Also, once they went into Kohl's. There was a man there buying little girl's clothes (probably because it was his daughter's/granddaughter's birthday or something). He looked at my friend for a moment. Her mom walked straight up to him and said, "Have you seen enough or do you want more?" He looked terrified and he was so apologetic, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, I didn't..." but she just walked off. It's really getting serious. Her mom won't let us walk to each other's house in swimsuits because "creepers will see us and desire us". It's just down the street for Pete's sake! It's really getting on my nerves and now they're dragging me into it... I just want it over! How can I help them?
