Is it too late to rock nude heels? I want to wear them with crop jeans and a romantic lace top.?

I just bought nude heels today for kohl. So cute! But now that I am looking on the internet on what to wear them with it looks like the were really hot in 2009... its now a year later and I am wondering if I am too late.
