I took a blood type test and nearly fainted?

So for school you had to know your blood type in healtth and you had to do it to yourself. Afterwards I felt really lightheaded and very hot, like I was about to faint or throw up- which ever came first. I got very pale and started to tremble uncontrollably. WHY? thanx
